People Survey

Each year we run a survey to ask our staff about what it’s like to work here, to help make sure we keep our finger on the pulse of the employee experience.

The results of these surveys, from 2017 to 2022, can be accessed via an interactive data tool [opens in new window].

During this time we use the same core questionnaire that is used in the Civil Service People Survey (CSPS) [opens in new window].

In 2023, Audit Wales made the decision to change its approach to surveying employees to enable us to focus on those aspects of organisational life that most impact on engagement and productivity.  The results for 2023 can be viewed via this link 2023 Audit Wales Employee Engagement Survey [opens in new window].

The questionnaire assessed employee engagement and used the same questions as the CSPS so that we could benchmark effectively.  It also covered a comprehensive range of employee experience themes and factors impacting on employee engagement:

  • Work life blend
  • Management
  • Alignment and involvement
  • Enablement
  • Leadership
  • Team-work and ownership
  • Collaboration and communication
  • Learning and development
  • Social connection
  • Service and quality focus
  • Company confidence
  • Feeback and recognition

We can now benchmark with a wider range of organisations in the public and private sectors.
